Dundee Labour annonuce candidates for City Council elections


Dundee Labour Party has announced its candidates for the forthcoming local government elections.

Labour is proud to be putting forward a mixture of experienced candidates along with new candidates who will work together to put Dundee first
and Dundee people first make our city even better.

Scottish Labour’s Candidates are as follows:

Strathmartine: Kevin Keenan; John McKiddie

Lochee: Tom Ferguson; Norma McGovern

West End: Richard McCready

Coldside: Mohammed Asif; Helen Wright

Maryfield: Georgia Cruickshank; George McIrvine

North East: Brian Gordon; Stephen Massey

East End: Lesley Brennan; Martin Keenan

The Ferry: Laurie Bidwell

Councillor Kevin Keenan, Leader of the Labour Group on Dundee City Council,
said,

“I am delighted to be part of this team which will put Dundee first.

“This is a team that is committed to working hard on behalf of the people of Dundee and to working hard in their wards.

“Labour wants to invest in education in the city.

“We will be making jobs our top priority and we will be looking after the most vulnerable in Dundee.

“Our candidates for the council elections are an excellent mix of experienced councillors along with some exciting and talented new candidates.


“I am delighted that we have four female candidates and some excellent younger candidates."
